New 110kV Energy-saving Transformer Put into Operation to Boost Green Power Grid Construction

2025-04-11

In the current pursuit of green and sustainable development, the energy conservation and carbon reduction actions in the power industry have received much attention. Recently, a new 110kV energy-saving transformer has been smoothly put into operation at a substation in a certain place.
This transformer adopts advanced technology and has overcome technical difficulties such as large-sized amorphous alloy wound cores. It combines the low-loss characteristics of amorphous alloy materials with the three-phase magnetic circuit balance advantages of the three-dimensional wound core structure, achieving ultra-low loss operation in the 110kV high-voltage scenario.
Taking this transformer with a single capacity of 20,000 kVA as an example, it can save approximately 120,000 kWh of electricity per year and reduce the carbon dioxide emissions by up to 72 tons. Such outstanding energy-saving performance not only reduces the energy consumption during the power transmission process but also plays a positive role in improving the environmental quality.
The successful operation of this transformer is an important achievement of the green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading of the power grid. It also provides valuable experience for the application and promotion of more energy-saving equipment in the future, effectively promoting the sustainable development process of the energy field.
